Win Parkinson, a 1966 UW-Whitewater graduate, helped the 1962 basketball team win the Wisconsin State University Conference championship. He lettered twice in basketball and track. While a student at Cudahy (WI) High School, Parkinson was all conference in basketball and baseball, captain and Most Valuable Player of the Football team, and regional and sectional champion in the discus for the track team. Parkinson has become one of the most successful high school coaches in the state of Wisconsin. In twenty-two years as the boy's basketball coach at Milwaukee Technical High School, Parkinson has compiled a 341-128 record. That record includes six conference championships and two Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association championships (1979, 1983). He was UPI Coach of the Year twice and AP selection in 1983. His peers voted him the top boy's coach in the Milwaukee area in a 1986 poll and he was selected to coach in two state all-star games. In addition, he has served Tech as a chemistry teacher and as the freshman football coach.
