A Beaver Dam native, Keller earned football letters from Whitewater Normal in 1913, ’14 and ’15. The 1913, ’14, and ’15 teams won championships. He was All-Conference center on the 1914 and ’15 teams and captain-elect of the 1916 squad. Light-heavyweight wrestling champ in 1913. He went to San Antonio, Texas, after World War I and was active in the real estate and homebuilding business. Member San Antonio Kiwanis Club since 1935 and a past president. Chairman, Fire and Police Civil Service Board 1939-40, member City Council 1952-53. Served on Mexican Border and both World Wars. Awarded Legion of Merit & Army Commendation Ribbon. Retired 1953 as Colonel, Corps of Engineers. Elected Hall of Fame 1967.
