Dick graduated from Milwaukee Pulaski H.S. in 1947 after earning two track letters, two basketball letters, and being selected All-City in basketball twice. At Whitewater he won three track letters, three football letters, and three basketball letters, playing on the championship football team of 1950 and the championship basketball team of 1952. He also was chosen All-Conference in basketball twice and was conference champ in the long jump two years in a row. After graduation Dick served in Korea and was chosen on the All-8th Army basketball team. Later he worked and played basketball for Allen-Bradley in Milwaukee and beginning in 1968 he taught at Alcott Elementary School and coached at Washington H.S., Milwaukee. Elected Hall of Fame 1970.
