Beth (Yunker) Nolan was a guard on the standout basketball teams of the early 80's.  She played on the 1980-81 team that finished third in the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women Division III national championship, after winning the Wisconsin Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title.  Her senior year she earned first team all-WWIAC, NCAA III Great Lakes all-regional tournament, and second team American Women’s Sports Federation all-American honors while serving as team captain.  Nolan is thirteenth in career assists and 29th in scoring in the

UW-W record book. A 1983 UW-Whitewater graduate with a major in physical education, Nolan came to UW-W from Wilmot (WI) High School.  She is a teacher in Casper, Wyoming, where she also lives.  She has also coached high school basketball in Wyoming, directing her teams to four consecutive conference championships.  In that span her teams also won two state 2A titles, and finished third twice.  She was named conference coach of the year five times, and state coach of the year twice.
