Dale is a graduate of Clintonville High School where he won letters in football, basketball, and baseball. A 1960 graduate of UW-Whitewater, Dale was a four year letter winner in football and handled the kicking responsibilities. He is the holder of the record for the most number of career extra points. Dale earned three letters in baseball and led the team to two conference championships with .411 and .428 batting averages. After graduation Dale taught and coached at Cambridge High School where he developed some outstanding track teams. He presently is the department chairman of the physical educations program at Stevens Point High School and is also the head line coach in football. Dale received his Master of Arts Degree from the University of Colorado. He is married, the father of two children, and active in many youth activities in Stevens Point. Elected to the Hall of Fame, 1978.
