Mike LaLoggia was a record-setting quarterback for the Warhawks in the late 70's.  LaLoggia directed UW-Whitewater to the WSUC championship in 1978, and second place finishes in 1977 and 1979.  UW-W compiled 7-4 records, overall, in all three of his seasons on the varsity.  He also helped the 1976 freshman team go 4-0, earning the team’s MVP award.  He was also the team MVP in 1979, when he was named First Team All-WSUC, First Team National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-District, and Associated Press College Division Honorable Mention All-American.  He was also honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore, and second team all-league his junior year.  He holds the UW-Whitewater record for career pass completions, and is second in both yards passing and touchdowns.  In 1979 he tied the school record for completions in a season, and wound up second on the school’s list in touchdown passes in a season (with 20).  LaLoggia is the career pass completion percentage leader (.631) for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. A football and basketball player at Rockford, IL/Boylan High School, LaLoggia graduated from UW-Whitewater with a finance major in 1980.  He is a sales and merchandising manager in the Chicago office of  Miller Brewing Company, and resident of Naperville, Illinois.
