Chuck graduated from Whitewater City High School in 1957, where he earned nine letters; four in baseball, three in basketball and two in football.  He was twice all-conference in basketball and once the league's scoring leader.  In his senior year he was an honorable mention and all-conference football player, helped lead the baseball team to a title, and received the Senior Athletic Award and the American Legion Citizen Award.  At UW-Whitewater Chuck earned four letters in baseball and three in basketball.  In his freshman year in baseball, he was a factor in the team winning the conference baseball title by pitching three shutouts including a ten inning shutout in the league playoff game.  In basketball, he was part of a basketball program which went from doormat to contender.  Chuck received his Bachelor of Education degree in 1961 and Master of Science degree in 1977 from UW-Whitewater.  He has taught for one year at Seymour, Wisconsin and for 25 years at Milton, Wisconsin.  He has coached football, cross country, girl's tennis, girl's track, basketball, golf and baseball.  In baseball his teams won four conference championships in his six years of coaching.  In basketball his teams have won 320 games and, as varsity coach at Milton, his teams have won seven conference titles and three regional tournaments and have appeared in one state tournament.  He has coached in the state all-star game and the Southern Lakes All-Star game.  He has been honored by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association for twenty-five years of coaching and for 300 wins.  He has run a basketball camp in Milton for ten years and has advised and aided the youth basketball programs in both Janesville and Milton.  He has won the Whitewater Country Club Golf Championship and has four times won the Milton Golf Association Championship.  Chuck and his wife, Suzanne, currently reside in Janesville and have three children, Jeff, Jill and Amy.
