A standout in baseball and basketball for 4 years, Tony was graduated from Slinger High School in 1935. He was an outstanding athlete at Whitewater participating in basketball, football and track prior to graduation in 1940. As a PT Boat Commander during World War II, he was decorated in the Southwest Pacific. Upon discharge from the Navy, he taught commercial subjects prior to joining the Johnson Wax Company in 1954. He is active in a number of professional associations as well as community affairs. Tony received an M.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin and a M.B.A. degree from Marquette. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973.
