Carlene Polk was a part of three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championships, two conference tournament titles, four NCAA Tournament appearances, three trips to the NCAA Championship round and the volleyball program's second-ever national championship (2005) during her career from 2004-07. In 2007, she earned WIAC Player of the Year, first team All-WIAC, first team All-Region and first team All-America honors after leading the Warhawks to a sweep of the conference regular season and tournament titles and a national runner-up finish. One year earlier, the middle hitter helped UW-Whitewater win the WIAC Tournament championship and reach the national semifinals, earning a spot on the 2006 NCAA Division III Championship All-Tournament Team in addition to garnering first team all-conference, first team all-region and second team All-America accolades. A graduate of Mukwonago High School, Polk ranks among the program's top 10 all time in career blocks (573), kills (1,354) and hitting percentage (.300). She earned her degree in geography (geology) from UW-Whitewater in 2008.
