Olsen was a four-year letter winner in baseball.  Olsen was a first team all-conference catcher in 1987, 1988, and 1989.  Olsen served as the team captain in 1988 and was the NCAA III Midwest Regional Tournament Most Valuable Player in 1989.  Olsen remains ranked in three categories in the Whitewater record book.  His 101 career RBI's ranks tied for ninth, his 29 doubles is tied in seventh, and his 73 walks is tied for fifth.  Olsen batted .373 in his sophomore year with 29 RBI's and six homeruns. Olsen improved that mark in his junior year, leading the team with a .391 batting average. Olsen also drove in 29 runs, and hit seven doubles and six homeruns. In Olsen's senior year, he hit .344 and his 38 RBI's and team-high 13 doubles were a key factor in the team’s trip to the NCAA Division III World Series where the Warhawks tied for fifth place. In football, Olsen was a three-year letter winner at quarterback, and one of only five Whitewater quarterbacks to pass for more than 2,000 yards in a season. Olsen accomplished this in 1987, throwing for 2,033 yards in his junior year. Olsen completed 50.2% of his passes, ten for touchdowns. Olsen completed 54.7% of his passes in his senior year, throwing for 1,560 yards and 7 touchdowns, making him an honorable mention all-conference player in 1988. That year, he led the team to a conference championship, and a trip to the NCAA Division III championship playoffs. Olsen currently is a resident of Hartland, Wisconsin and is the Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of the Town Bank in Delafield, Wisconsin.
