Championships portray Bachhuber’s athletic career. While attending Mayville, John led three championship teams in football, basketball and baseball. John entered Whitewater in 1939, where he lettered in football four years and basketball two years. Whitewater won two Conference Championships in football with John selected All-Conference center three years; also All-Conference in basketball, Homecoming King and Most Popular male student. Graduating in 1942, John joined the Army. Upon returning he taught and coached at Shawano and Menasha. In 1951, Menasha won an undefeated football Conference Championship. In 1952 John joined the Marathon Corporation where he serves in various administrative capacities. Elected to Hall of Fame 1971.
