Les graduated fro mMadison East High School in 1958 where he won six letters in football, wrestling and baseball.  As a senior he was selected football captain and a guard on the Honorary All-City Football Team.  In wrestling he won the 167 pound class Big Eight Conference championship and placed third in the State Tournament.  He was also elected Senior Class President.  While attending UW-Whitewater he was a regular on the football team on both offense and defense for four years and played on the championship teams of 1959 and 1960.  He was selected All-Conference guard three consecutive years and honorable mention Little All-American.  During his senior year he was selected co-captain, MVP and was named to the first collegeiate All-State football team.  After graduation Les taught high school mathematics and coached at Milton Stevens Point.  He is currently an Engineering Training Specialist with Oscar Mayer Foods corporation and has been with the firm for 15 years.  He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, both nationally and his local chapter.  Les has coached Little League Baseball for the last four years and played softball for the last twenty-five years.  Les and his wife, Mary, have two children, Brad, 14, and Rick, 12, and reside in Monona, Wisconsin.
