Stanicek graduated in 1988 from UW-W. Stanicek led the Warhawks to an overall record of 105-38 in her four season of softball at Whitewater, earning four letters and earning all-conference, All-Region, and All-American honors in 1988. Stanicek's career batting average is .304, with a .392 average her senior year. Stanicek also led her team in RBI’s her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Stanicek holds many records in the UW-Whitewater books including career home runs (tied for ninth with 7), career triples (fifth at 11), career doubles (sixth at 27), career at bats (ninth at 428), career runs batted in (fifth at 96), and career number of hits (tied for eleventh at 130). The Warhawks went to the NCAA III playoffs in both 1985 and 1986. Stanicek currently is a resident of Palatine, Illinois.
