Art Lein will receive the UW-W Athletic Hall of Fame's Distinguished Service Award.  Born and raised in Whitewater, Lein has been a Warhawk fan and backer for over 60 years.  He graduated from Whitewater College (later UW-W) in 1950.  He was one of the founders and a charter member in the Quarterback Club, the booster group for Warhawk football, and he served the group as a member of the board of directors for eighteen years and as president in 1970.  He was also a charter member of the Tip-Off Club, the UW-W men's basketball booster club.  In addition to his interest in athletics, Lein has also been key backer of the university in the community, serving on the UW-W Foundation board of directors for eighteen years.  Lein resides in Whitewater.
