Mike Dressler graduated from Milwaukee Pulaski High School in 1967, where he earned three athletic letters, one in football and two in track.  At UW-Whitewater Mike was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity while being a four year letter winner in both football and track.  In football, as an offensive end, he was elected to 1st team All-Conference for two years, to the All-NAIA District 14 team three years and Honorable Mention and NAIA All-American for one year.  Individual records which he set while at Whitewater include: Most career receptions, most career yardage-pass receiving, most career touchdowns-pass receiving, most passes caught in a career, most passes caught in a season, most passes caught in a game, most yards gained in a season-pass receiving, and longest touchdown pass caught.  In track Mike ran both the 100 and 200 yard dash and was on the relay teams.  In his senior year he was co-captain of both the football and track teams, received the American Legion Award as the outstanding student-athlete and was the senior class senator to the student government.  Mike was elected to "Who's Who In America" for three years and to "Outstanding College Athletes in America" also for three years.  In 1971 Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree with majors in both history and English.  He continued to participate in football by playing semi-professional for the West Allis Spartans and the Racine Gladiators.  He has taught and coached for 17 years for the Milwaukee Public Schools and since 1979 is an English teacher and head football coach at Milwaukee Hamilton High School.  As football coach he has developed a year around, 9th through 12th grade football program and an academic tutorial system for academic achievement at Hamilton.  Coach Dressler's Hamilton teams were 1979 Milwaukee City Champions, Blue Division; 1982 Milwaukee Area Conference Champions; 1983 second place Milwaukee Area Conference; and in 1987 tied for second place, Big Nine Conference.  In 1983 Coach Dressler was selected as "The Milwaukee Sentinel's Metropolitan Coach of the Year".  Mike is currently studying towards a Masters Degree at UW-Whitewater while residing with his wife, Diane, and two daughters, Debra and Heidi, in Genessee Depot, Wisconsin.
