Bill graduated from Racine Park High School in 1956 where he earned six letters in football and track.  In track he was Big 8, 100 yard dash champion in 1955 and qualified for two state track meets.  He was co-captain of his high school football team where he earned All-City and All-Big 8 Conference honors.  After graduating from high school he played football for Northwestern University and transferred to UW-Whitewater during his sophomore year.  He lettered in football three years and was a member of the conference championship teams of 1959 and 1960, graduating from UW-Whitewater in January 1961.  For the past 22 years Bill has worked for Tenneco companies and is presently Director of Almond and Pistachio Operations in California.  He is Metro-Chairman of the National Alliance of Business and has coached many years in baseball and soccer.  Bill and his wife, Judie, live in Bakersfield, California, with their four childre, Jon, 22, Michael, 20, and twins, Susan and Tim, age 16.
