Athletics Hall of Fame
Renee Wolters graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1970. As a student there she was active in the Girls' Athletic Association, Milwaukee Women's Municipal Athletic Association and played on the Oak Creek Merchants softball team representing Wisconsin in a number of national tournaments. At UW-Whitewater she lettered all four years in field hockey, volleyball, basketball and softball for a total of 16 athletic letters. She was named to the Outstanding College Athletes of America in 1973 and 1974 which is comparable to the current All-American status. As an excellent student, she was named the Outstanding Physical Education Major and to "Who's Who Among College Students" in 1974. Since graduating Magna cum Laude from Whitewater, Renee has taught physical education and coached for 13 years at Franklin Junior High School in Janesville. In 1987, she was named "Teacher of the Year" in that school. Currently, she teaches at Parker High School and is the head volleyball coach. She received her Master of Education Professional Development Degree fro UW-Whitewater in 1983. Renee and her husband, Jody, have two children, Jennifer and Mathew, and live in Janesville, Wisconsin.
