Wally is a graduate of Rochester High School. While at UW-Whitewater he won ten major letters; four in football, four in baseball, and two in basketball; and played on three championship baseball teams. He was graduated in 1959 and taught and coached in high school for eleven years. In 1966 he obtained his masters degree in physical education. For the past six years Wally has been Athletic Director and basketball coach at Waukesha Tech where he has won three Coach of the Year awards, had three championship teams, and accumulated an enviable 135-35 coaching record. He is active in both his church and in community youth organizations. Elected to the Hall of Fame, 1976.
