Stephanie (Ruhland) Shankle, track and field, was an indoor All-American shot putter in 1990 as well as a three time All-Conference Athlete. Shankle still holds Whitewater records for shot put in both indoor and outdoor competition. Shankle is third in the records for indoor with a throw of 42-10.75 feet and second in outdoor competition with a 43-10.00 foot throw. Shankle was a conference scholar-athlete and graduated from the university cum laude. She currently is a teacher and a coach.
