Linda (Nett) Winkler was a member of the UW-Whitewater women's basketball team from 1983-87. A three-year co-captain, Winkler helped lead the Warhawks to the WIAC championship in 1985-86 as well as four appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament, including a berth in the national quarterfinals in 1986. In 1986-87, she finished second on the team in rebounding and earned WIAC All-Defensive Team accolades. In the same year, Winkler was selected WIAC Women's Basketball Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete. She scored 654 points during her career, and ranks among the top 25 in program history in rebounds (745, 3rd), double-doubles (8, T-5th), rebounds per game (6.8, T-9th), games played (109, T-13th), blocks (39, 15th) and blocks per game (0.36, 21st).
