Whitewater resident Rod Berg has been a long-time member of the football Quarterback Club and men's basketball Tip-Off Club, including a stint as a board member.  He built the dugouts at the van Steenderen Softball Diamonds, and helped organize and build facilities at Prucha Field, UW-W's baseball facility.  His skills are evident in the designs of commemorative plaques at Perkins Stadium,  the van Steenderen Diamonds, Foster Track, and Schwager Drive.  Berg also built decorative frames for the men's basketball championship photos that are displayed in Kachel Gym in Williams Center.  In addition to lending his considerable skills, Berg was one of the founders of the annual auction that raises money for football and men's basketball, and has been instrumental in other major projects on behalf of intercollegiate athletics.
