Ron graduated from Racine Horlick High School in 1959 where he lettered in football and basketball for two years, and baseball for three years. At UW-W he lettered four years in football. He was honorable mention Little All-American in 1961, on three conference championship teams, elected to three All-Conference teams, elected to two second team State College All-Star Football Squads, and was rated three years in the nation for pass receiving. He held many pass receiving records at UW-W. Ron also lettered two years in baseball and lead Whitewater in batting and home runs in 1962. He was named Racine’s Athlete of the Year by the Old Timers Athletic Club in 1963. Ron graduated from UW-W in 1964. He played nine years of semi-pro football with the Racine Raiders where he was All-League for two years. Ron has been a teacher at Southern Wisconsin Center in Union Grove for fifteen years. He is a WIAA Official in baseball, basketball, volleyball, and softball. He coaches basketball at St. Thomas Aquinas School, is a member of the St. Thomas Athletic Association and has served on church organizations. Ron is married and the father of two sons. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1979.
