Deanne Riportella (formerly Dzik) was the setter on UW-W's NCAA III championship tournament volleyball teams in 1986 and 1987.  She earned all-conference honors in 1985, '86 and '87, was UW-W's team Most Valuable Player in 1985 and 1987, and a team captain in 1987.  She was Whitewater's all-time assist leader when she graduated, and is still seventh on the list.  Riportella is a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois.  She works at Maine West High School, where she is the girl's varsity volleyball coach, the boy's junior varsity coach, and director of summer camp and league.
