Nancy graduated from Whitewater High School in 1966, earning three letters in golf.  As team medalist, she led them to three conference championships, going undefeated all three years.  While attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, she earned thirteen letters - four in golf, four in basketball, two in softball, two in volleyball and one in tennis.  She was named the Most Valuable Player of the basketball team her sophomore, junior and senior years and was elected captain her junior and senior years.  She led the team in scoring; under Coach Mary Ann Riccio the team lost only three games in those four years.  Under Coach Martha Van Steenderen, Nancy was team medalist in golf all four years and she tied for twelfth in the Midwest Collegiate Tournament.  The volleyball team went undefeated both years she played.  Graduating with a B.S. degree in Education, Nancy started teaching physical education at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, where she has coached tennis, track and junior varsity volleyball and is presently coaching varsity basketball and varsity softball.  Her basketball team has been the State Champion once and has made it to state on three other occasions, finishing second, third and fourth.  In her four years as softball coach, her team has been conference champion and also made it to the state tournament.  Nancy was the nation's number one draft choice of the International Women's Professional Softball League in 1979.  Signed to play first base with the St. Louis Hummer, Nancy's team finished second in the World Series for two years and, in 1979, she was elected the Most Valuable Player of the entire league.  While playing for the Bankettes, an Amateur Softball Association team, she was named to numerous all-star teams and played in two national tournament, the best finish being eighth.  While playing Amateur Athletic Union basketball in the highest amateur league in the United States, she and her team made it to the national tournament six years and finished sixth in two of those years.  In 1973 she was named to the all-league first team.  In golf, Nancy has won the State Junior Championship and the South Central Wisconsin Championship.  In each of the last two years she has finished second in the Milwaukee County Golf Tournament and third in the State Publinx Tournament.  In 1970 she was named to the Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities; in 1979 she was presented with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from UW-Whitewater.  Nancy presently belongs to the National Federation of High School Coaches, the Wisconsin High School Baseball Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Board of Officials.  She officiates collegiate volleyball and is a Big Ten volleyball official.  She was recently awarded a fifteen year pin for service to the Red Cross.  She presently resides in Milwaukee.
