A Slinger High School graduate, John won 4 letters in both basketball and football. At Whitewater he was quarterback on the 1951 championship football team and was a guard on the 1952 championship basketball team. A Kappa Delta Pi student, he received the American Legion Award in 1952, the year of his graduation. After service in the U.S. Army he attended the University of Wisconsin Medical School receiving his MD degree in 1958. John is currently a General Surgeon with Medical Associates of Menomonee Falls. He has served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery with Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. Active in numerous medical associations, he has been an active worker in YMCA and community affairs. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973.
