A 1932 graduate of Poynette, Wisconsin High School, Don participated in basketball, baseball and track. At Whitewater he starred in football, basketball and track. He was a member of the conference champion relay team in 1936, the year of his graduation. After teaching and coaching for three years he entered Northwestern Medical School and received his MD in 1943. He served as a Pathologist for the Madison General Hospital. He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin for the past 169 years and has been active in community affairs. Elected to the Hall of Fame, 1974.
