Alexis Addante (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
An outfielder, Addante has helped the Warhawks claim two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championships as well as the 2018 WIAC Tournament title. The team has also made consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including the NCAA Super Regional round in 2018.
As a sophomore in 2019, Addante appeared in 28 games, primarily as a pinch runner, and finished the season with three hits, 10 runs scored and three runs batted in. She tallied a two-run single in a UW-W win over UW-River Falls, and scored what proved to be the game-winning run in the Warhawks' victory over nationally-ranked Illinois Wesleyan three days later.
Addante played in 17 games as a freshman, scoring six runs to help UW-Whitewater draw within one game of reaching the NCAA Division III Championship round.
A three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Addante is majoring in psychology with a minor in sport management.
