Clinten Woerishofer (Appleton, Wis./North) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
In 2019, Woerishofer helped the Warhawks place fifth at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and eighth at the NCAA Midwest Regional, the team's highest regional finish since 2010. His time of 26:43.1 at the regional meet, where he finished sixth on the team and 85th out of more than 250 runenrs, was his personal record in the 8-kilometer race.
 
Woerishofer finished among the top eight on the team at each of his six races, including varsity finishes (top seven) at five of the six.
 
As a sophomore in 2017, Woerishofer competed at four events, placing 10th on the team at the WIAC Championship.
 
Woerishofer started his cross country career with a pair of varsity showings in 2016, and registered a season-best result of 27:13.0 at the WIAC Championship.
 
A three-year member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll and a 2019-20 UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete, Woerishofer graduated with a bachelor's in computer science and a minor in mathematics in 2020. He is currently a graduate student studying computer science.
