Brian Kuehl (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team is featured in the fifth edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
Kuehl helped the Warhawks place eighth at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship in 2019, finishing the 8-kilometer race in 28:08.0. UW-Whitewater hadn't finished that high at the regional meet since 2010, when the team placed seventh.
 
Kuehl was named co-winner of the team's Most Inspirational award in 2019. He finished among the team's top seven five times and posted his best time of the season, a 27:07.4, at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational.
 
As a sophomore in 2018, Kuehl finished fourth on the team at both the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship. He recorded the top result of his career, a 26:42.8, at the conference race.
 
Kuehl competed four times as a freshman in 2017, finishing ninth on the team at the WIAC Championship.
 
Kuehl is a three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. He is majoring in physical education.
