Julia Fewell (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's cross country team is featured in the sixth edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
Fewell's performance in 2019 helped the Warhawks place 10th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, the team's highest regional finish since 2007 and 12 spots higher than its 2018 standing.
 
Fewell placed among the team's top seven (varsity finish) at both the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship and the NCAA Midwest Regional. She recorded a 26:39.4 at the conference meet before crossing the finish line in a season-best 25:09.5 at the regional race.
 
As a sophomore in 2018, Fewell placed among the team's top five in each of her five races, including a fourth-place showing with a season-best 24:58.1 at the WIAC Championship.
 
Fewell ran a career-best 24:56.3, the No. 19 UW-W time on the home course in program history, at the 2017 WIAC Championship. She was among the team's top 10 at each of her four meets.
 
A three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Fewell is majoring in social work with a minor in psychology. She is also a volunteer with UW-Whitewater's Nursing Home Visitation Program.
