ROCK ISLAND, IL — The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's & women's cross country team competed in the Augustana Interregional on Saturday, October 17th. 

The Warhawks had a strong showing, with the women starting the day with a 25th place finish in the Gold Race, the men followed with a 18th place finish out of 37 teams. In the Blue Race, the warhawk women placed 24th & the men placed 12th in the races at Suakie Golf Course in Rock Island. 

Abi Anderson (Janesville, Wis./Craig) recorded UWW's top-time in the women's Gold 6K, placing 96th in 22:38.8. Brinley Everson (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) - 23:10.6 & Lucy Roscoe (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake North) - 23:15.1 followed in the first race of the day.

Nick Wendl (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) finished 36th in the men's 8K in 24:53.7, while Connor Murphy placed 46th in 25:03.2. Matthew Andreano (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) added a 60th-place finish in 25:11.6. Kody Wassman (Ormsby, Minn./Mountain Lake) - 26:30.2 - led the Warhawks in the Blue Race for a 77th place finish.
