Getting To Know The Warhawks – Quinn Halversen, Men’s Track and Field

Quinn Halversen (Rockford, Ill./Christian) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
In 2020, Halversen reached the podium at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, placing fourth in the high jump by tying a season-best height of 6-05.00 (1.96 meters). He finished among the top four in the event at six of the seven meets he participated in during the season.
 
Following the season, Halversen was named second team Academic All-America® and first team Academic All-District® by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
 
As a sophomore in 2019, Halversen posted his personal record height of 6-09.50 (2.07 meters) in the high jump to reach the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships, where he finished ninth in the event. He placed fifth in the high jump at the WIAC Outdoor Championships and fourth at the indoor conference meet.
 
Halversen was a USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region honoree for the outdoor season and a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection. He was also named the team's Most Improved Athlete.
 
Halversen qualified for both WIAC meets in the high jump during his freshman campaign in 2018. He placed ninth at the conference indoor meet and fifth at the outdoor championships. Halversen also competed regularly in the long jump during that season.
 
A three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and a three-time winner of the team's GPA of the Year award, Halversen is majoring in supply chain and operations management with a minor in economics.
