Adriana Green (Racine, Wis./Horlick) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
In 2019-20, Green helped the Warhawk women's basketball team win the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship and reach the NCAA Tournament. She appeared in 13 games off the bench after missing most of the non-conference season due to injury, and was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Green tallied season highs in points (5) and rebounds (3) in UW-Whitewater's win at UW-Stevens Point. In the team's NCAA Tournament game against Redlands (Calif.), she tied her season high with three assists.
As a sophomore in 2018-19, Green averaged 5.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 14 appearances before she suffered a season-ending injury. She registered a career-best 13 points to go along with two steals in the Warhawks' victory at Augustana (Ill.), and contributed 11 points later in the non-conference slate against nationally-ranked Trine (Ind.).
Green played in nine games as a freshman, when UW-Whitewater swept the WIAC regular season and tournament titles and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
A three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Green is majoring in psychology with a minor in coaching. She was a featured student speaker at last year's University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents meeting.
