Skyler Budny (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard South) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
In 2019-20, Budny reached the podium in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship for the third straight year, placing seventh with a season-best time of 18:18.96 in the event. Her performance helped the Warhawks finish third as a team. During the regular season, Budny recorded personal best times in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.45) and the 200-yard breast stroke (2:41.54).
 
As a sophomore in 2018-19, Budny finished seventh in the conference in the 1,650-yard freestyle and entered the program's all-time Top 10 in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:57.02, 6th) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:05.06, 7th).
 
Budny posted a pair of top eight finished at the WIAC Championship as a freshman in 2017-18, placing sixth in the 1,650 free and eighth in the 400-yard individual medley. Three of her performances from that season are her career records.
 
Budny is majoring in psychology with a minor in biology.
