Getting To Know The Warhawks – Dwayne Ford, Men’s Track and Field

Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
 
In 2020, Ford earned the third All-America honor of his career by qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championship in the 60-meter dash with a career-best time of 6.90 seconds. He garnered honorable mention all-conference accolades by placing third in the event at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. He also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in a season-best 22.42 seconds at the conference meet.
 
As a sophomore in 2019, Ford was a member of the Warhawks' 4x100-meter relay team, which earned a spot on the All-America podium with a third-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He finished fourth in the conference in the 60-meter dash (indoor), and was the league's runner-up in the 100-meter dash (outdoor) for second team All-WIAC.
 
Ford was also an All-American his freshman year, helping UW-Whitewater's 4x100 relay place eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The same group finished second at the WIAC Outdoor Championships.
 
A two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Ford is majoring in physical education with a minor in coaching.
