NCAA Outdoor Track & Field: 4x100's Earn All-America Honors

The UW-Whitewater men's and women's 4x100 meter relay squads earned All-America honors for their performances at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse Saturday. 

The women's 4x100 took to the track first. Hannah Bilodeau-Wahl (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) led off the crew with Alyssa Stacy (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) and Kelly Huerta (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) running the middle legs and Cici Stennett (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) anchoring the foursome. The  combination matched their preliminary time of 46.13 to claim fourth and earn All-America honors. That time matches the second-fastest time in program history. 

The Warhawk men's combination featured Traysen Thomason (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) in the blocks followed by Kayden Baumgart (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb) and Sam Vargas (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) with Caleb Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium) running the anchor leg. The foursome recorded a time of 40.55 to secure fifth and earn All-America honors. 

With the top eight finishes, Huerta, Stennett, Vargas and Beightol all pick up their second straight outdoor All-America honors in the 4x100 relay. 

Day Two Recap
The UW-Whitewater men's and women's relay squads shined on day two of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse Friday. 

Hannah Bilodeau-Wahl (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) led off the Warhawk women's squad and was followed by Alyssa Stacy (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) and Kelly Huerta (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) with Cici Stennett (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) running the anchor. The foursome posted a time of 46.13 - the second-fastest qualifying time in the preliminaries and the second-fastest clocking in program history. 

On the men's side, Traysen Thomason (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) led off the crew that included Kayden Baumgart (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb), Sam Vargas (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) and Caleb Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium). The squad crossed the line with a season best time of 40.25 - also the second-fastest 4x100 time in program history - to secure the fifth qualifying spot. 

The finals of the women's 4x100 relay is scheduled for 1:05 PM Saturday followed by the men's final at 1:15. 

Jer'Von Anderson (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) was in action in the high jump Friday. The freshman cleared a height of 2.06 meters (6-9) to finish 13th. 

Stennett and Vargas were back on the track after just a two hour break from the relays to compete in the prelims of the 100 meter dash. Stennett narrowly missed a qualifying spot with a time of 11.90 while Vargas crossed the line in 10.53 for 14th. 

Day One Recap
The 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships began Thursday in La Crosse. UW-Whitewater is represented by nine Warhawks at the national championship meet. 

Cici Stennett (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and Kelly Huerta (McHenry, Ill./McHenry) opened the championship slate for UWW in the preliminaries of the 200 meter dash. The duo crossed the line in sync with matching times of 24.84. Huerta claimed 17th as the timers broke the run down into the thousandths while Stennett was 18th. The top nine in the prelims qualify for the finals in the event. 

On deck for Friday ... Jer'Von Anderson (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) will kick off competition in the first field event of the day, the high jump, set to begin at 11 AM. Stennett and Huerta will be back in action as the first round of the 4x100 relays is scheduled for 3 PM. The pair will be joined by Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) and Alyssa Stacy (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore). The men's 4x100 featuring Traysen Thomason (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater), Kayden Baumgart (Mount Horeb, Wis./Mount Horeb), Sam Vargas (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) and Caleb Beightol (Belgium, Wis./Cedar Grove-Belgium) will take to the track after the women. 

Stennett and Vargas will have about two hours to recover before returning to the track for the 100 meter dash prelims. 

The championship will conclude Saturday evening.
