Parker Hearne (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
Hearne made his 2021 debut on Sunday against Cardinal Stritch, playing with
Noah Wankerl (Sauk City, Wis./Sauk Prairie) at No. 3 doubles.
During the abbreviated 2019-20 season, Hearne competed at the Warhawk Fall Invitational, placing seventh at both No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles competing against non-Division III competition. He was selected All-Academic honorable mention by the New Jersey Athletic Conference and was named a Scholar-Athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
As a freshman in 2018-19, Hearne finished with a 3-3 record in singles, including a three-set victory over UW-La Crosse to help the Warhawks to an 8-1 win. He also posted a 4-2 mark in doubles, including two wins to place third at No. 3 doubles at the Warhawk Fall Invitational. The Warhawks reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament that spring.
A two-year member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll, Hearne is majoring in mathematics with emphasis in education and a minor in coaching.
