Logan Meier (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team is featured in the latest edition of Getting To Know The Warhawks Presented by UW Credit Union.
Meier competed in the 200-meter dash and the high jump Saturday at the team's season-opening dual against UW-Platteville. He finished fifth in the 200 in 24.44 seconds and sixth in the high jump with a height of 5-05.75 (1.67 meters).
In 2020, Meier qualified in the high jump for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships. He recorded a season-high mark of 5-10.00 (1.78 meters) at North Central.
As a sophomore in 2019, Meier tallied career best marks in the 200 (23.83) and the high jump (5-11.50 / 1.82 meters). He competed in the high jump at both conference meets.
Meier was part of the Warhawks' fifth-place 4x400-meter relay at the 2018 WIAC Indoor Championships. He qualified for both the indoor and outdoor conference meets in the 400-meter dash.
Meier is majoring in communication with emphasis in public relations and a minor in coaching. He is a member of UW-Whitewater's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
