No. 10 Bowling Places Eighth at Ladyjack Hammer Classic

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team placed eighth over the weekend at the 15-team SFA Ladyjack Hammer Classic at Sheridan Lanes in Kenosha, Wis.
 
The Warhawks wrapped up the weekend with a pinfall of 13,260, good for an average of 197.9 per game. The team tallied a 6-7 record, including a 1-2 mark in Sunday's Baker best-of-seven bracket play.
 
UW-Whitewater was edged in seven games by No. 23 Youngstown State before recovering for a 4-1 victory over 22nd-ranked Adelphi.
 
The win set up a rematch against Youngstown State, but the Warhawks were defeated in five games to place eighth.
 
UW-Whitewater concludes the calendar year Dec. 7-8 with the United States Bowling Congress sanctioned Warhawk Open at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.
