The No. 10 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team tallied a 3-2 mark competing against some of the nation's top teams Friday on the first day of the three-day SFA Ladyjack Hammer Classic at Sheridan Lanes in Kenosha, Wis.
The Warhawks topped No. 16 St. Francis (Pa.) to start the day before taking a loss against 14th-ranked Tulane. The team downed No. 5 Sam Houston State, fell against No. 3 Stephen F. Austin and closed the day with a victory over Upper Iowa.
UW-Whitewater compiled a total pinfall of 5,040 pins, good for a 201.6 average per Baker game.
The Warhawks will compete in five traditional games Saturday.
