The No. 22 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team posted an impressive victory over a formidable opponent Tuesday, defeating 35th-ranked Colby (Maine) 9-0 in a dual match at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.

The Warhawks (12-5) claimed all three doubles matches and all six singles spots.

Ben Shklyar (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) and junior
Michael Treis (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield Central) combined at No. 1 doubles for an 8-3 triumph, while junior captain
Michael Schnarr (Madison/Memorial) and sophomore
Rithwik Rajshekhar Raman (Chennai, Tamil Nadu-India/SAIDS British Education) teamed up for an 8-5 victory at No. 3. Senior captain
Cam Laktash (Crystal Lake, IL/South) and junior
Jake Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) were the last to finish, posting an 8-6 win at the second position.

In singles, Humphreys tallied his third victory over an opponent ranked among the top 20 preseason, downing Carl Reid, ranked 16th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, by a 6-0, 6-1 score. Humphreys has now won a team-best seven straight matches.

Raman and Treis were equally impressive at their respective singles slots. Raman posted a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 4, and Treis emerged with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2.

Shklyar earned another point with a 6-3, 6-0 win at the fifth position. Junior
Matt Bisbee (Chicago, IL/Marist) recorded his team-best 12th victory of the season by a 6-0, 6-4 count at No. 6.

Zane Navratil (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) was the last to finish, taking a second-set tiebreaker for a 6-2, 7-6 (1) triumph.
