The No. 1/7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team posted a pair of Baker match victories Sunday to finish seventh at the three-day FDU New Jersey Jamboree in New Brunswick, N.J.
The Warhawks, who finished 8-4 in all matches for the weekend, were seeded ninth heading into Sunday's best-of-seven Baker contests.
UW-Whitewater rebounded from a 2-0 deficit against No. 9 McKendree (Ill.), claiming the final three games in a 4-3 victory.
In the seventh-place match, the Warhawks sprinted out to a 3-0 lead against third-ranked Stephen F. Austin (Texas) and won the series in five games. It was the second victory of the weekend over the Ladyjacks for UW-Whitewater, which won Saturday's traditional match, 991-921.
The Warhawks continue action next weekend at the Crusader Classic at Valparaiso University in Indiana. UW-Whitewater will also send a team to the Titan Invitational at UW-Oshkosh.
