The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team finished 12th at the Bearcat Invitational hosted by McKendree in Fairview Heights, Illinois over the weekend.
The Warhawks went into bracket Sunday as the tenth-seed after compiling a total pinfall of 8,999 over the first two days of the tournament. On day one, the Warhawks opened the invite with a 985-936 win over Valparaiso. The second Baker match went to Oklahoma Christian 922-959. The Warhawks dropped match three 843-916 before bouncing back with a tight 865-863 win over Western Illinois. UWW met Marian for the fifth Baker falling 933-1018 to cap the day.
Day two consisted of traditional team games. UW-Whitewater matches in order included an 864-898 loss to Jackson State, a 974-1022 loss to Central Missouri, an 807-884 loss to McKendree, an 864-875 loss to Maryville and lastly a 942-897 victory over Wright State.
Elizabeth Vanderhei (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) was the top Warhawk on the individual leaderboard. Vanderhei averaged a 198.80 over the five-game span for a total pinfall of 994. Zoe Darwin finished 20th with a total pinfall of 953 and an average of 190.60. Also bowling all five traditional games for the Warhawks were

Ashley Bowe (Brillion, Wis./Brillion).
On bracket Sunday, UW-Whitewater dropped their opening match to Marian in five games. The next match went four with Jackson State advancing before wrapping up the invitational in the battle for eleventh.
