UW-Whitewater topped Oberlin 9-0 but fell to Colby 5-4 Monday to start competition on their annual spring trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. The Warhawks are 11-6 in dual matches this season.

Jake Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) earned his team-leading 20th singles win as he topped Callan Louis of Oberlin 7-5, 6-0. Humphreys lost a close match against Colby's Carl Reid 7-5, 6-4. Colby was ranked 18th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in a preseason poll.

Rithwik Rajshekhar Raman (Chennai, Tamil Nadu-India/SAIDS British Education) earned a win at three singles in each match to improve to 13-6 overall. Raman has won five in a row and is 9-1 in his last ten matches.

Cam Laktash (Crystal Lake, IL/South) and Kevin Friend (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) paired up at three doubles to earn two more wins and remain perfect as a tandem this season. The duo is 4-0 overall.

Brian Klein (Brookfield/East) was also a winner in each match. Against Oberlin he topped Sore Zeliger 6-0, 6-4, and against Colby he defeated Cameron Hiller in a three set match 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

The Warhawks will face North Central College on Tuesday at 9:00 am Eastern in South Carolina.
