The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team handed Carroll University their first loss of the season in a 4-2 victory on Tuesday at Robert W. Fiskum field in Whitewater. The Warhawks improve to 4-3-1 overall and 3-1-0 at home. The Pioneers fall to 5-1-2.

Zach Rewasiewicz (South Milwaukee/South Milwaukee) scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute off of a rebound on a shot by
Alex Szarzynski (Greenfield/South Milwaukee).
Matt Gehn (Oregon/Oregon) gave UW-W a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute with his first goal of the season.
The 'Hawks scored two more goals in the second half to extend their lead to 4-0.
Luke Buchholz (Whitewater/Whitewater) scored his fourth goal of the season in the 62nd minute and
Trevor Swentik (Delafield/Marquette University HS) scored his third goal of the season in the 68th minute.
The Pioneers tightened the score with two late goals, one at the 74-minute mark and one at the 87-minute mark.
Andrew Krueger (New Berlin/Catholic Memorial) was in the goal for UW-W for a majority of the game and made five saves while giving up one goal.
The next game for UW-W is on Thursday when they travel to River Forest, Illinois to play Dominican University at 4:00 pm. The next home game for the 'Hawks is on September 30 against UW-Platteville at 7:00 pm.
