The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team finished seventh at the Wartburg Fall Invite Sunday. A second squad of Warhawks were 10th in the 17-team field.
UWW shaved one stroke off its Saturday score with a 318 Sunday for a two-day total of 637.
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) led the way carding a 75 Sunday. Her tournament total of 151 tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard.
Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) (157) tied for 21st after cutting five strokes off her round one score for a 76 Sunday.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) carded an 83 in round two for a total of 160.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) (171) and
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) (174) rounded out the seventh-place UWW squad.
Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) paced the second UW-Whitewater fivesome at the tournament. She posted an 85 Sunday for a tournament total of 163 to finish among the top 40.
Emily Akers (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) (165),
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) (165),
Norah Berken (Kaukauna, Wis./Kaukauna) (168) and
Jessica Velent (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) (168) added to the team total.
The Warhawks are back on the links next weekend at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Invite. The two-day (Saturday-Sunday) tournament is slated to be held at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois.

Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) is the individual leader with a 76. Myers is tied for 13th and six strokes behind the leader.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) finished the day with a 77 followed by Patron Schmidt with a 81 in the first squad.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) shot an 85 and
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) a 90 to round out the first squad.
For the second fivesome,

The Warhawks will head back out on the links for Round Two tomorrow, September 8th. They'll be after the top team Grinnell College, ranked 23 in the most recent DIII poll. Grinnell currently leads with a 296 through Day One.
