Allendale, Mich. -- The UW-Whitewater women's golf team competed in the 2025 Folds of Honor Challenge hosted by Grand Valley State University early this week. The 54-hole tournament was held at The Meadows at GVSU.
The Warhawks, the lone Division III squad competing in the invite, opened the challenge with a 337. UW-Whitewater improved in round two with a 328 Tuesday before wrapping up the tournament with a 330 Wednesday.
Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) paced the Warhawks with a total of 234 (79-77-78) to finish in the top half of the individual leaderboard.
Delainey Halverson (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) carded a 253 (87-86-80) followed by a 256 (87-83-86) by
Jessica Velent (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson).
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) came in with a 258 (90-82-86) while
Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) rounded out the squad with a 265 (84-89-92).
UW-Whitewater will host their fall invitational at TPC-Wisconsin in Madison on September 28-29. The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship is set for October 3-4 in Reedsburg.
