The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team finished ninth in the 19-team field at the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic in Normal, Illinois Sunday.
The Warhawks registered a team total of 318 for round two giving UWW a two-day total of 627 for ninth.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) led the way carding a 75 in the second round for a total of 146 to tie for fifth individually.
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) finished among the top 25 adding a 79 to her round one score of 76 for a tournament card of 155.
Payton Schmidt (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) shaved a stroke off of her day one card for an 81 Sunday and a total of 163.
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) came in with a 166 (81-85) followed by
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) (81-86-167) and
Kellie Shanahan (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) (84-83-167).
A second UWW squad placed 15th after registering a 336 Sunday for a 36-hole total of 677.
Jessica Velent (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) led the group with a 163 (83-80).
Emily Akers (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) (83-86-169),
Breezy Roman (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) (87-83-170),
Megan Honn (LaFayette, Ind./Jefferson) (88-87-175),
