The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf season came to a close after the second round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship Thursday morning. The championship is held at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
The Warhawks had to play a waiting game after multiple weather delays caused the second round to be suspended due to darkness Wednesday evening. UWW was one of the 14 teams to complete the round with 15 others had to wait until Thursday morning to resume play. As competition got back underway early Thursday, it was quickly delayed due to weather once again. However, once the teams were finally able to conclude the round and the scores were updated, UWW was 21st on the team leaderboard. The top 15 teams advance to the third round of the championship.
The team carded a 336 in round two led by a 79 from
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig).
Haley Myers (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) registered an 81 followed by
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna) (86),
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) (90) and
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) (93).
Individually after two rounds, Lux led the Warhawks at +11 (76-79-155) to rank among the top 40 in the 150-player field. Sheppard (76-86-162) and Myers (82-81-163) were +18 and +19 on the week. Johnson recorded rounds of 81 and 90 for a total of 171 followed by Reiser's 95 and 93 for a two-round score of 188.
Day Two Recap (Wednesday)
Day two of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky has been suspended due to darkness after multiple weather delays throughout the day. The teams will finish round two Thursday morning.
About half of the 29-team field was able to get a full second round of play in Wednesday despite multiple breaks in play due to storms in the area. Fifteen teams were unable to finish their rounds and will resume play early Thursday morning. The top 15 teams and six individuals not part of those 15 will advance to the third round - still scheduled for Thursday.

Day One Recap (Tuesday)
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team is tied for 13th after the first round of competition in the 2024 NCAA Division III Golf Championships. The 2024 championship featuring 29 teams and 150 golfers is being held at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
The Warhawks registered a team total of 315 Tuesday led by matching rounds of 76 from
Kallie Lux (Janesville, Wis./Craig) and
Lily Sheppard (Sherwood, Wis./Kaukauna). The pair shot four over par and are currently tied for 22nd on the individual leaderboard.
Ellie Johnson (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) carded an 81 on day one followed by
Haley Myers' (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) 82.
Abbie Reiser (Washington, Ill./Washington Community) rounded out the UW-Whitewater lineup with a 95 Tuesday.
UW-Whitewater is slated to start round two at 8:20 local time Wednesday with Myers leading the way from hole one. The Warhawk lineup will tee off in ten minute increments with Reiser, Sheppard, Lux and Johnson following Myers.
Emory University sits atop the team leaderboard after carding a 295 on day one. Karen Lee of Texas-Dallas is the top individual with a 68 on Tuesday.
Following the second round of competition Wednesday, the championship field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not among those 15 for the third round.
