Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./) represented the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's swim team in the CSCAA Open Water National Championship over the weekend.

The 5K swim was held by Florida International University as swimmers competed in the beautiful, enclosed waters of Biscayne Bay. The sophomore distance swimmer qualified for the meet based on his times at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Weis competed against nearly 240 participants between men and women from institutions across the nation, including NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA. 

Out of NCAA Division III Swimmers, Weis finished 2nd overall with a time of 1:12:44.82. Overall, Weis finished 72nd in the men's race.

Caleb Weis (Burlington, Wis./) and the rest of the Warhawk swimming and diving teams will return to the pool in their annual triangular against Lake Forest and Lawrence. This year's iteration is set to take place on January 25th at the Williams Center. Events will begin at 1:00 PM.
